The Fiesta Junior scholarship being offered by JamSport Racing is an impressive package for a fully funded season in 2022 which includes:
- Full team support
- Race entry fees
- BRSCC membership & championship registration
- Season supply of Goodyear tyres
- Hire of race winning car
- 1-1 driver tuition
- Re-prep labour between meetings
- Friday test days
The competition to win the scholarship is split into 3 stages, with the first stage scheduled to take place at Blyton Park on 11th December 2021.
Disaster almost struck when I was unable to travel to Blyton that weekend after getting COVID, but I was very grateful to be offered a second chance to compete on 8th January 2022 when I took part in each of the following assessments:
As you can see from the video, it was a VERY wet afternoon at Blyton Park – so ultimately I was pleased to keep the car on the circuit during each of my 15 minute sessions. Despite being cautious, instructor feedback while I was driving was positive and gave my confidence a great boost.
