I’m excited to announce that in 2024 I will be joining the CityCar Cup grid!
Launched in 2020, the CityCar Cup championship features 1.0 litre 3-door models of the 2005-2013 Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1.
The Student Motorsport Challenge is an intra-championship competition; it is designed to take students from Sixth Forms, Colleges and Universities and allow them to experience motorsport in a professional racing environment.
It is the only championship like this in the world. You can find out more about the Student Motorsport Challenge on the Student Motorsport website.
I’ll be driving a Barracksport Citroen C1. Barracksport were the first student team to achieve an overall podium in the CityCar Cup, and the first student team to win a race overall (Croft, Sep 2022).
My experience driving the endurance-spec Citroen C1 in C1 Racing Club events during the 2022 and 2023 seasons is why they approached me to drive for them, and we’ll aim for the podium.
I first had an opportunity to drive a CityCar Cup spec Citroen C1 at Silverstone during BRSCC’s Driven By Racing event in November 2023. Find out how I got on by watching this video.
